The Na Ali'i "Good Behavior" Store

It all started when…

King Kekaulike school initiated its Na Ali'i School Store
in 2016-2017 school year.
This is the second year of its operation.

The Na Ali'i Store is a store open to all students on Wednesdays, during lunch, in F101.
The only currency taken at the store are Na Ali'i Kala Cards that students can earn from teachers and staff for: going above and beyond, setting & making goals for themselves, modeling good behaviors as evidenced by the Na Ali'i Way and HA: Breathe

Students earn Kala Cards and can spend them at the store. They can purchase: snacks, water, gatorade, school supplies, art materials/supplies, prize items/trinkets, and larger items like: back packs, room decor, speakers, headphones, games and more. Students can trade in as little as one Kala card, all the way up to 15 Kala cards (that they must spend within the school year). Here are some pictures of the store and what the Kala Card looks like.

The store is only funded on donations. We have been really lucky to receive support from Pukalani Superette, KKHS PTSA, KKHS Best Buddies Club, Target, Costco and Farmers Insurance last school year. We have even had many parent/family and teacher donations of snacks, prizes and monies. We are in need of some support to stock our store now. If you can help support with funds (to purchase items at Costco and Target in bulk) or snacks, new school supplies, games or prizes, we would appreciate your help!

Please contact Melanie Nakashima, RTI Coordinator at King Kekaulike for any donations to the Na Ali'i Store.  Email: mnakashima@kkhs.k12.hi.us or by phone 808-727-3530

A huge Mahalo to Mrs. Gordon, Mrs. Powers and
the other families who donated items and snacks to
our school's Na Ali'i Store for students.

The Na Ali'i Good Behavior Store
is funded solely
by donations from our KKHS Ohana and local community.
Students get to spend Kala cards at the store on Wednesdays during lunch when they have earned them from teachers and staff for doing good things as modeled by our Na Ali'i Way and HA: BREATH. Thanks again for your donations!!
